Welcome
The rapidly developing fields of metamaterials and plasmonics are being driven by the active participation of researchers from different disciplines from science and engineering. New ideas and new techniques such as transformation optics have emerged to fuel the excitement in this field but at the same time brought in new challenges. This program will have emphasis on theory and simulations, and will bring together colleagues with different backgrounds to explore different aspects of metamaterials, plasmonics and transformation optics. The goal is to understand the properties of new artificial structures, to explore new techniques to design these advanced composites, to seek for new phenomena and functionality, and to see how these new materials can be incorporated in actual components and devices.
Participants in the Program can work on site and will have the opportunities to exchange ideas with researchers in the field and form new collaborations.
