The IAS Center for Quantum Technologies (CQT), a newly established collaborative center at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), is a platform for quantum technology research, education and entrepreneurship. The CQT is dedicated to create a quantum ecosystem by bringing together researchers who are experts in quantum materials, quantum optics, atomic physics and quantum information. In this inaugural workshop, the Center will invite world-leading experts to discuss the current status of quantum technology, define the emerging discipline of quantum engineering and deliberate how to educate the quantum workforce.
